PRIVACY

How we handle your personal information

This page explains how information submitted through the online intake form is used and protected.

English

1. Information we collect

We collect only information needed for the consultation, such as your name, contact details, preferred language, the facts of your matter, other parties, deadlines and available documents.

2. Why we use it

We use the information to receive and understand your inquiry, check conflicts of interest, arrange meetings, explain fees and next steps, and handle legal work after you formally retain the lawyer.

3. Translation and AI

External services or AI may be used for initial translation, organization, or summarization. AI alone does not make legal decisions or decide whether the lawyer accepts a matter. A lawyer reviews the information.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not provide personal data to third parties without your consent unless permitted or required by law. If we use a service provider, we limit its purpose and access to what is necessary.

5. Retention and security

Consultation and matter records are retained for a period considered necessary in light of law, professional duties and the nature of the matter. Appropriate safeguards are used against unauthorized access or disclosure.

6. Access and correction

Subject to Japanese law, you may request access, correction, suspension of use or other available measures regarding your personal data. Identity verification is required.
